Ja Rule, Keyshia Cole and Ashanti will be headlining a show at the 50th Anniversary of St. Maarten Carnival. On 25 April, the 3 musicians will hop on the stage at the Soulful Company concert. Presented by the SCDF (St. Maarten Carnival Development Foundation), the show promises a night of “smooth boppin and groovin.”
Festivities will officially take place from 20 April to 7 May, with pre-Carnival activities kicking off on 16 March. St. Maarten Carnival is the biggest carnival in the Caribbean, spanning thirty-three days in full length.
The 3 headliners will also be joined by domestic artists Kenyo Baly, and Natisha Hanson, representing the friendly island at the second iteration of the Soulful company show.
Carnival St. Maarten is the Island national festival held in April each year. It is designed to spread the Island visitors season.
In other destination news, the Sint Maarten/Saint Martin Annual Regional Trade show is coming at the end of May. The event is a chance for international and regional buyers to get together with suppliers and other valuable tourism industry partners from the neighboring Caribbean Island through 3 days of master classes, activities, workshops and festivities.
“We are so thrilled to welcome Ashanti, ja Rule, and Keyshia Cole to St. Maarten,” stated the director of Tourism of St. Maarten, Ms. May-Ling Chun.” To have these 3 artists, all who have influence on the global music scene on such a big level, heading at the 50th anniversary of our well-known carnival is a respect and a joy. We cannot wait to view the power that they bring to the stage.“
“We have so many honorable musicians in St. Maarten, and to bring our Island local musical talent combined with these artists is sure to bring forth an amazing, special concert,” St. Maarten Minister of Tourism, Transport, Economic Affair, and Telecommunication, Stuart Johnson said.
